Live Storytelling Sessions
Phil’s live storytelling sessions have been enjoyed by thousands of children in the UK and abroad.
Phil has a highly successful background in the performing arts. He played a long running character in the well known BBC British soap opera called ‘East Enders’, and he has also acted in children’s TV dramas. He has performed radio plays for the BBC and acted in many stage plays. As a storyteller he has performed at festivals, tours and clubs throughout the UK, Europe and East Asia.
He can create new stories or adapt traditional stories to meet the needs of your school. For example, in one school he created and adapted several stories related to World War Two, in another it was the Normans. But it could be anything.
Normally Phil will spend half a day at the school; beginning in the morning with telling stories at the school assembly, followed by storytelling session for selected year groups, covering different topics or themes. Prior to the visit, Phil will liaise with staff to agree a storytelling schedule and other details, such as topic and themes.
